Welcome Letter from Rector Dorsey

Dear Seeker,

Dorsey headshotThank you for landing on our website, and taking some time to explore what the Redeemer can offer you. On these pages you will find a lot of information about our Worship, Sunday School, Music Programs, Adult Education, Domestic and International Missions, and much more.  You can also find a personal statement that will tell you something about me, as well as similar information about our great staff and lay leaders.

However, not all of these combined can answer the one question that really matters:

What are you seeking?
Life is so busy that we don’t give ourselves much of a chance to sit with that question beyond a few concrete and obvious answers: more money, a good school for the kids, a better job, and the like.

But if we really did sit with the question for more than a minute or two, a different range of desires might begin to emerge:  true love, real forgiveness, healing from that awful thing that happened to me, an end to fear, anger and anxiety, real peace of mind, confidence, and joy.

These are the gifts of life we seek, at the Redeemer.  Ask anyone in our parish, and they will tell you that we have found many of them here.

If you’re looking for something along these lines, please give us a try.  Browse the site some more.  Come to worship.  Set up a time to talk to me by e-mailing dorsey [dot] mcconnell [at] yahoo [dot] com.

I hope I will have the opportunity to meet you in person.  In the meantime, may the God of all peace bless you and keep you.

Faithfully,
Dorsey+
