Boston College Campus Ministry

Redeemer partners with ECBC: The Episcopal Community at Boston College to provide hospitality, worship opportunities, and community time to students at Boston College. Through weekly meetings on campus, regular community dinners at Redeemer, and community events with Redeemer parishioners, ECBC and Redeemer offer BC students a spiritual home away from home. To learn more about the BC chaplaincy, or to be added to the Chaplaincy’s weekly e-newsletter, email Megan Holding.

Weekly Gatherings

Each Sunday during the academic year, ECBC offers students hospitality, community time, and worship opportunities. ECBC and Redeemer host Sunday Study Space at Redeemer on Sunday afternoons beginning at between 1:00 and 6:00 pm, offering quiet, comfy spots to study and all sorts of snacks and drinks.  At 6:15 pm we share a community dinner, and we end our Sundays with 7:30 pm worship (alternating between Compline  / Evening Prayer and Communion).

Study Days at Redeemer

During BC’s Study Days and Finals Period, ECBC and Redeemer host a wonderful study space at Redeemer!  The Old Parish House is a quiet, homey, study hall with its own printer, comfy couches, bean bags, and wifi; coffee, snacks, lunch fixings, and treats are available all day in the kitchen; and parishioners provide homemade family-style dinners each evening. This is the perfect spot for students to study in a welcoming and comfortable environment!

Community Events with Redeemer

Throughout the year, ECBC and Redeemer host a variety of community events for BC Students, Faculty, and Staff and parishioners. Whether it is the Welcome Back BBQ in the Fall, Sunday Morning Brunch on Parents’ Weekend, or the Mid-Winter Dinner, these events are wonderful opportunities to enjoy good food, good company, and to build relationships between ECBC and the parish.

Engagement in Parish Life

BC students are warmly welcomed into the Redeemer’s full parish life. BC students regularly attend Sunday worship at Redeemer, and students have sung in the choir, worked in the Nursery, and helped with Sunday School. However students might want to engage in the life of the parish, Redeemer is happy to welcome them into the community!
