Mission

Above all else, except having a personal relationship with God, Christians are called to serve.

We at the Redeemer serve year-round, on mission trips to New Orleans and Uganda during the summer, in raising outreach funds at seasonal markets, by doing odd jobs to help the church operate, and by supporting fellow parishioners in their times of need.

We hope that our call to mission is always growing. For now, these are some of the ways you can help spread the Gospel and help your fellow human being.

Japanese Anti-Radiation Efforts (Easter Offering 2011 and other fundraising efforts)

In Spring 2011, we raised over $22,000 for Japanese disaster relief. After considerable deliberation, the Redeemer Mission and Outreach Committee has designated the money to the Aizu Information Centre for Radiation/the Aizu Network to Save Children from Radiation program. Our donation will help the following efforts:

  • Emergency Evacuation Funds (the reactors are still dangerous)
  • A country relief house for families living in a toxic city where children can’t play outside and food is suspect
  • Networking support for women to share ideas on how to protect their children from radiation
