Judy Oulund

Judy began teaching high school in 1965, and she still can't think of anything she would rather do and so she doesn’t retire, even though most of her earliest students have long retired. Judy began her career teaching history, English, and Bible in East Africa shortly after Kenya received its independence from Great Britain. After 7 years, she left Kenya to teach at The Stony Brook School in NY where she was a boarding school administrator and teacher for 34 years. Currently, she teaches Humanities 9 and AP European History at Boston Trinity Academy, is the Dean of Faculty and Chair of the History Dept. Judy loves to travel especially with teenagers; she has been to 41 countries. For the past seven summers, she has brought BTA students to Nepal to work at a school for disabled children in Kathmandu and orphanage in Pokhara. When she is not teaching or traveling, Judy enjoys reading, cooking, and playing great Aunt JuJu with Josh and Starr Peteet’s amazing three children. She has been attending the Redeemer since moving to Boston in 2010.
