Sunday School :

Infants and Toddlers:

Childcare begins at 9:45 for children 2 & under in the nursery, located in the downstairs Sunday School wing. This ministry is provided by our staff childcare workers as well as our caring and faithful volunteers.

Children’s Chapel:

Sunday School begins with a lively time of prayer and praise through singing at 9:45. Children 3 and older are welcome to attend this time of worship before their classes begin at 10:00.

Godly Play:

Pre-K through 5th grade participate in one of our three Godly Play groups. Godly Play, a Montessori-based program, offers a creative, child-honoring way of entering into and experiencing the biblical story. In Godly Play, we play with the language of God and God’s People: our sacred stories, parables, liturgical actions and silence. Through this powerful language, through our wondering, though the community of players gathered together, we hear the deepest invitation of all: an invitation to come play with God.

Sunday School Mission Statement

To nurture and share an abiding relationship with God.

At Church of the Redeemer we value and respect the full humanity and spirituality of each child. Through age-appropriate programs, we strive to provide a quality experience that invites and equips each child to deepen their faith. Our committed teachers regularly meet for training, planning, and prayer to ensure that we continue to cultivate a Sunday School community of pilgrims – adults and children alike - rooted in prayer, sacred learning, and fellowship with God.

Childcare for infants through age 2 is provided downstairs most Sundays of the year from 9:45 am until 11:15 am.

Youth Assistants
