Service Assistants & Altar Guild

During the Service

Worship experiences at the Redeemer are possible because of the many people who offer their time and energy as Service Assistants. These dedicated parishioners serve as Lectors reading the lessons, Ushers welcoming and guiding congregants, Acolytes and Servers leading the procession and assisting the clergy, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers administering the wine and reading the prayers of the people.

Usually these persons volunteer for a single position and serve approximately once a month during the school year.

The Redeemer is always looking for new Service Assistants. Training is available for each position by Verger Suzy Westcott.

Altar Guild

A dedicated team of 31 Altar Guild men and women does the behind-the-scenes work of preparing and maintaining the altars.
