Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs)
Adult members of the parish have the privilege of
assisting with the liturgy at the 10:30 service as Lay
Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs).
New LEMs are trained for their ministry by the verger of the
parish,
Suzy Westcott.
LEMs serve in pairs and are vested in black cassock and white
surplice. One LEM is assigned
to lead the Prayers of the People from the lectern.
Both LEMs assist at communion by administering the chalice (the cup
of wine). LEMs must be
licensed for their ministry by the Bishop of the diocese.
Interested? We are currently taking interested
parties for the fall Service Assistant Schedule. Please contact Laine in the
office by mid-June for a schedule card.
