Children's Chapel

Children’s Chapel begins at 10:15 am on Sundays and is held every week during the school year except on All-Parish Eucharist Sundays, held the last Sunday of every month.   The Curate Marc Eames and Children’s Choir Director Mary Reynders run the Children’s Chapel.  Most weeks, the Children’s Chapel is 15 minutes long and includes prayer, the doxology, song, and a short lesson. 

One of the goals of the Children’s Chapel is to introduce the children to the rhythm of Christian worship.  The lessons often concentrate on the liturgical day or seasons, or the Gospel lesson for the day.  Through the Chapel, the students experience the power of prayer and building Christian community, and are introduced to concepts like feasts and fasts, holidays and their meanings, and the importance of the Word of God and the sacraments.  Willing toddlers through seventh graders attend the service.  Parents are always welcome to attend the Children’s Chapel.
