Marilyn Emilsson moved to the Chestnut Hill area in the year 2000 when Sven-Olof Emilsson and she were married. Shortly after their marriage they began a search for a church “home”. In 2001, they started attending the Redeemer. They felt comfortable here right away and their love for this church has grown year by year. This church has been a gift to Marilyn as well as to so many others.
Marilyn is from the South, Tennessee and Virginia, but has lived in other places. She has a BA in Medical Technology from the University of Chattanooga and an MFA in painting from American University in Washington, D.C.
At the Redeemer, she is a member of the Inreach Committee, and tries not to miss a Bible Study.
Her strong interests are in art and the discoveries in the field of science. Theology in our every day life is also a strong interest. As for her job, real estate management has consumed much of her life for the last 16 years.
Sven-Olof and Marilyn are very involved with our families and friends, as are most of us.
