Outreach Committee

We also welcome visitors to our monthly meetings (held the fourth Tuesday of the month), which are listed in the Redeemer News, on the Redeemer calendar online and on the Outreach bulletin board outside the church office. 

 What’s It Like Being on the Outreach Committee?

This is an active, working, and flexible committee for all sorts of different people in the parish.  We currently have about six active members at any given point in time.  Anyone in the parish is welcome to join at any point of the year. 

We encourage members of the Outreach Committee to:

• Share all your thoughts and ideas! 
• Be enthusiastic and energetic!
• Volunteer to take on small and large tasks whenever you can! 
• Pray for the work of our group.
• Take time to reflect on how our service contributes both to your individual spiritual journey and to that of the parish as a whole. 

 We hope that everyone on the committee will be able to meet the following “formal” requirements as is practical and possible:

• Serve at least a 3 year term; 2 years for co-Chairs (a new co-Chair rotates on each year and one rotates off)
• Attend monthly meetings; typically held during the months of September through June on the 4th Tuesday
• Volunteer to work on a team to organize and implement at least one service project and one collection

What If I Can’t Join the Outreach Committee Right Now, But Still Want to Help?

 The Outreach Committee keeps a list of enthusiastic volunteers in the parish who want to be kept informed about opportunities to help out on a short-term basis with our various service projects and collections.  If you’d like to be on that list, please contact one of the Outreach co-Chairs, Jean Fulkerson (djfulkerson@comcast.net or 617-916-1661) or Laura Patton (laurated@rcn.com or 617-232-5175) for more information.
