Our Boston College Chaplaincy
The Reverend Judith L. Stuart established the Episcopal Campus Ministry at Boston College during her tenure as Associate Rector of the Church of the Redeemer, 2003-2006. Under her leadership, it continues as an official chaplaincy of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
A community meal and fellowship hour with weekly Liturgy of the Word and Holy Communion are held every Wednesday evening throughout the academic year. Bible study, Compline, Taizé, community service projects, health and wellness days, weekly coffee house meetings, special programs and retreats are also regularly sponsored by the Episcopal Eagles. Joint chaplaincy offerings and an annual pilgrimage to either Israel and Palestine or Kenya are also highlights of the program.
The Rev. Judith Stuart coordinates this ministry, with the support of Redeemer parishioner Erik Britt-Webb and a BC student leadership team.
There are some excellent “hip” video explanations of the church and faith and reason on the Episcopal Eagles site. Make sure to visit!
