Children's Education

Mission Statement

The Redeemer Children's Education program seeks to provide children with a foundation in the Christian faith in a nurturing environment of acceptance, love and open inquiry. Through a program of education, worship, music, outreach and fellowship, children will be encouraged to develop their Christian beliefs and values and to grow in their relationship with God and with each other.

The specific elements of the Children's Education program at the Redeemer, adjusted appropriately for each age level, include:

  • study of the Bible stories of the Old and New Testament.
  • familiarization with the basic components of worship in the Episcopal Church through weekly worship in a children's chapel program.
  • lending of guidance and assistance to teachers, in hopes of broadening their Christian beliefs and in an effort to help them become more effective Christian leaders.

Christian Formation Activities for Children & Youth

The program includes the following components:

Education
Music
Worship
Fellowship
Service

Childcare is available for those younger than 3 years old.

These programs work together to provide a structure for children to grow into spiritually and  ethically responsible adults. The children will grow through Biblical knowledge, personal spiritual development, community involvement, service, fellowship and commitment.

Additional resources are available.  We welcome Parents and others to get involved in making this program the best it can be.
