|
Purpose: |
To create a better understanding of the
teachings of Jesus and how to apply them in our everyday life. An equal
emphasis will be placed on building fellowship through discussion of
personal experiences in a safe environment. |
|
What: |
The Gospel of John, whose purpose is to
prove conclusively that Jesus is the son of God and that all who believe
in him will have eternal life. Unlike the other gospels that provide a
time line of Jesus' presence on earth, John is the "conceptual" Gospel.
Over 90% of John is not covered in the other Gospels. |
|
Who: |
Men and women who have never read the
Bible, want to broaden their understanding of the Gospel, or want a
“refresher”. |
|
When: |
Every other Thursday night at 7.30 pm
starting on October 13th. |
|
Where: |
The first meeting will be at the
home of Graeme Mills. Thereafter the members of the group will host on
a rotating basis. |
|
Structure: |
A two-hour session covering bible study,
fellowship and prayer. A guide book will be used to frame the
discussion.
