Confirmation Class

Confirmation class is a year-long opportunity to grow in understanding of the Bible, church tradition, theology, and ethics. It is required for those youth wishing to be confirmed at the annual deanery Confirmation ceremony in the spring.
Confirmation is a serious commitment to God and the church made by each individual. These individuals, commonly referred to as Confirmands, are asked to maturely examine their faith and participation in the church and affirm they are ready to live Christian lives as they become young adults.
Persons in the 8th grade and above are eligible for the rite of Confirmation.
Students may take the class as a catechismal exercise and choose not to be confirmed. Those who pass on the opportunity to be confirmed at the end of 8th grade may be confirmed at a later date after consultation and study with a priest.
