Being a teen at the Redeemer

Teens at the Redeemer are inspired and challenged to engage the Christian faith through many different opportunities. 

Teens can serve as Acolytes if they are in 5th-7th grades and Servers if they are in 8th-12th grades.  They learn about the liturgy and assisting in the worship of God. 

Youth Assistants are confirmed teenagers in the 9th through 12th grades. They assist in teaching and share their faith with the children of the parish.

These youth service ministries are valued throughout the community and youth are highly encouraged to become involved. We seek to assist the youth wherever we can in deepening their faith in God and their relationships with one another. 

Our mission trips to places like Pilgrim Africa in Uganda provide a concentrated opportunity to take a break from our everyday lives and deepen our Christian life by praying together and helping others in need. 

Confirmation Classes provide space to allow our faith to seek understanding. We encourage questioning and exploration, and also provide guidance and models for a healthy faith life.
